Rhino 1EC Fan Controller
What Is It?
The Rhino 1EC fan controller is the new affordable option for controlling your grow room environment. This fan controller is specifically designed to control an outtake fan to extract stale air from the grow environment.
The controller has a straightforward analogue design with three adjustable dials. The first dial controls the grow room’s optimal temperature from 20°C up to 30°C. These temperatures are intended to create the perfect environment for any plant, including tropical types which thrive in higher temperatures.
The second dial sets the maximum speed of your extraction fan from 50 to 100% power. This helps to maintain the perfect temperature in your grow room environment, as the Rhino 1EC fan controller will automatically adjust the fan’s speed when the thermometer detects a temperature change in the grow environment. Setting the maximum speed also helps to reduce its running costs and the fan’s noise output. The third dial sets the minimum fan speed from 0 to 100%; Together with the maximum fan speed settings, this dial creates the perfect balance between the grow room’s CO2 and Oxygen levels.
The Rhino 1EC fan controller is a versatile essential for any grow room and is ready to use in three simple steps: Connect the controller to the extraction fan, situate the temperature probe, and set the desired temperature. Great for the more hands-on growers, its simple controls allow for environmental experimentation. Alternatively, busy growers can simply connect their extraction fan, set the dials to their desired settings, and walk away.
Rhino 2EC Fan Controller
What Is It?
When paired with a Rhino EC Ultra fan, the 2EC fan controller provides growers with ultimate control over their grow room environment. Like the Rhino 1EC fan controller, this controller has analogue dials for setting the minimum and maximum fan speeds and temperature. But unlike its more simplistic counterpart, the fan controller also has an off-set dial for managing the grow environment’s negative pressure. But what is negative pressure and why is it important?
Unlike the Rhino 1EC fan controller, the Rhino 2EC fan controller manages both the intake and outtake fans. Both fans are important when it comes to managing the grow room’s negative pressure. Negative pressure is created when more air is being exhausted from the grow environment than is being supplied. Negative pressure needs to be balanced and consistently maintained to stop “ballooning” or imploding. The off-set dial ensures that your fans are running in tandem with one another to maintain the necessary balance.
The Rhino 2EC fan controller is also designed to be energy efficient by running off the power supplied by the fan. This means that there is no need to source an external power supply to run the controller.
