Frequently asked questions
What does a hydroponic water chiller do?
A chiller keeps your nutrient solution at a steady temperature. Cool water holds more dissolved oxygen, which helps prevent root problems in warm weather. The HC Series can heat as well as cool, and its onboard digital display makes it easy to set the exact temperature.
Which HC chiller size do I need?
Choose by the flow rate of the pump that will feed it. The range runs from the HC 100A (200 to 1000 litres per hour) up to the HC 1000A (1500 to 4000 litres per hour), plus the HC 2200BH. For flows above this range, see the HS Series.
Is the HC chiller suitable for nutrient solution?
Yes. It has an anti-corrosive titanium evaporator and is designed for large hydroponic and aquatic systems. It is also quiet in operation.
