House & Garden Bat Mix Special is a heavily fertilised soil blend designed to deliver exceptional results in both vegetative and flowering stages. It contains premium organic ingredients including bat guano, German black and Baltic white peat, perlite, and organic lime, creating a well-balanced mix with excellent aeration, drainage, and water retention.

Bat guano acts as a natural slow-release fertiliser, providing phosphorus that supports strong root development, abundant flowering, and improved flavour. The mix has a stable pH and an EC of 1.2–1.5 with an NPK ratio of 14-16-18, offering a nutrient-rich environment suitable for most plants. However, due to its strength, it’s not recommended for seeds or very young cuttings.

How to Use

House & Garden Bat Mix Special is ready to use straight from the bag and suitable for hand watering or automatic feeding systems. For young plants, there’s no need to add base nutrients for the first 1–2 weeks, as the soil provides sufficient nutrition. Break up and loosen the mix before filling pots to maintain airflow around the roots. Avoid compacting the soil and ensure pots are evenly settled by gently tapping rather than pressing down.

The slow-release nutrients in Bat Mix Special feed plants for up to six weeks, depending on pot size. For best results, use a root stimulator and beneficial microbes such as mycorrhizae when potting up. Follow a soil-specific nutrient schedule and water only when pots are around half their previous weight to prevent overwatering.
